I'm 13 turning 14 soon, and my mom doesnt think i should be able to wear a thong yet. I only them so i don't have a panty line. I want to wear them with my white pants or skirts and stuff. Do you think I'm right, or my mom is?

I believe there are panties that are better than others regarding leaving a panty line. Try checking out a lingerie shop or specialty shop of the sort, and asking the sellers. Normal panties are much more comfortable than thongs.
Do remember that cotton panties are the best, other fabrics can sometimes lead to health problems like infections if you wear them too much.
If you want to be a brat, you could always tell your mother Thongs aren't that bad, after all there's worse, like the c-strings. ;)

I think that's a little too young to be wearing a thong. To me the appeal of a thong is sexual, so it's inappropriate for a girl your age to be wearing one. If it's panty lines you're worried about, maybe your clothes are too tight.

Well... I just turned 20, and in my eyes you shouldn't even be LOOKING at thongs yet. But I guess the age gap is changing.
I guess it's ok AS LONG AS you don't show it off. Use it for "panty line" purposes only. You don't want to attract the wrong attention. Believe me.

If you absolutely are not allowed to wear a thong and get pantylines the other option you could try would be to wear those control top pantyhose that give you a smooth silhouette. They might be hot under jeans, but would give you a smooth look.

Listen to your mom. Thongs aren't always good to wear, and they hurt too! Think of a constant weggie!
But if you really want one, ask her if you can just get a pair or two, and say you won't wear it too often!
Oh, and if you do get a thong, NEVER wear it to gym class or when you play sports! It is very bad, and you probably will run funny.

im like ur same age, 14 in october, anyway...i think you should have like 2 or 3 just to wear with pants or soemthing that show a line, a thong and a skirt can get pretty slutty, couse usually ull c the line anyway....i wear like boy shorts or w/e, cause they cover ur whole *** so there sint a line, its more "appropriate", and more comfy...

I started wearing a thongs when i was 11, so i'd say your old enough, but dont wear them with skirts!

It's alright to wear one, as long as you aren't being a sl*t. [Eg, showing it off to people, making be above the waste line on the pants/skirts]
Talk to her about it but don't whine, because then the answer will be a definite no.

only wear it when you need it so that you can't see your underwear through your pants or whatever. and don't get one that's high up so people can see it when you bend over.. because nobody wants to look at that. and honestly they're not that great. and i think you're right as long as you're not showing it off and stuff.

I think by the time you are 14, that you should be able to. That's the age I was allowed to.
