Why would you want to prevent older people from becoming president? The minimum age is 35 years. I would rather have an older person who has gained some good knowledge on how the world and governing works than a young person who still has much to learn. The age requirement is based on the premise that the older you are the more learning and patience you have gained.

I think that Americans have begun to loose sight of all the wisdom and learning that can be done by the elders in our nation. They are the ones who have lived through the previous wars and typically have a much better grasp of what is really going on.

A person running for office must be at least 35 years of age by the time they are sworn under oath, assuming they win.
