“I masticate more than anyone I know. I just get these urges and I cannot ignore them. My psychiatrist says I have a problem because I often masticate with fruits, veggies, and even farm animals such as cattle. Don’t get me wrong, I like straight ahead masticating by myself and alone, but sometimes, I like to masticate in front of others….” On and on his diatribe went. And while it seemed like a clever play on words at first, and Glaviston’s whole response seemed like really edgy comedy, after a while, it became sadly apparent that Glaviston just didn’t know the meaning of the word masticate. Poor Glaviston!
