- what is negative radical x times negative radical x?

- there's no radical sign on the computer so i'll try to show u what this looks like:

-(x) X -(x)

just imagine the parantheses r the radical signs and the big X in the middle is a multiplication sign = D

- sqtr(x)*(- sqrt(x)). Write it this way:

-1*sqrt(x)*(-1)*sqrt(x), move around
(-1)(-1) sqrt(x) sqrt(x)
+1 sqrt(x^2). Note sqrt and ^2 cancel each other out, so it's

=x.

(-x) X (-x) = x^2

N.B. '-' times a '-' gives a '+' answer.
and 'x' times 'x' = x^2
