So what movie really gets you thinking, "is that what it would really be like." Some good ones are The Stand, 28 days/ weeks later, Mad Max. Please also tell me why. I think this is one of the most interesting genres because it allows us to play with the idea of the world not really coming to an end just and end of life as we know it. Also it lets us imagine the different scenarios of how people would react. Most likely in mass hysteria. I think that's what it would be like though. One person starts to flip out and it's like a ripple effect.

"The Day the Earth Stood Still"! This movie demonstrates just how shorted-sighted and panicky the human race become when met with any kind of catastrophic event .
