This is a wonderful question because my sweetheart and I met here on yahoo actually and on answers as well. She asked who sang the song Just Walk Away Renee and I answered it. Later she noticed one of my resolved questions about the Beatles and knew I loved music just like her and emailed me through yahoo. Later we started emailing each other for quite some time getting to know and appreciate each other. Then she called me on Aug 18th in 2006 and I fell in love with her over the phone before ever even seeing a picture of her as she did me too. We later met on Dec 14th and it was if we have known each other all our lives and soulmates. After meeting several more times we finally got together forever on July 20th of this year and drove her down to Georgia from Illinois to be my Georgia girl forever. I am 53 and she is 52 and we are both in love for the very first time. Yes she is my soulmate and the woman of my dreams and I love her for who she is just like she does me and we are the happiest couple you will ever meet. She goes by girlnamedmaria on here.

I was a member of one once, but all I got was BS. I doubt that any "dating service," however specialized, is going to be much good. I suspect Yahoo 360 is the best way to go about that. Write the truth about yourself (I know you're not that old; you're talking about someone else), check out other people's pages, invite them to your friends list, write them messages, etc. Some of my favorite people are on 360.

I really don't know about dating (if you knew me you'd say 'obviously'), but this organization offers trips and programs which are awesome to persons 55+ only. It isn't dating, but meeting others with like interest in life and perhaps making an educated match....
Can't wait to get to 55 to join!

Got to Google and type in...
Desperately Lonely Seniors...
That will bring you to a link entitled...
Viagra.com
They have a blog there that will lead these poor, older, widowed, unemployed, or extremely nerdy middle-age people to a place they may chat about erectal dysfunction, and find a new lover, who will know how to read a cookbook...
