yes it would but so was slavery. i hate all these animal defenders what do dogs do for you people?

1) There is no "American" government as the Americas consist of several different countries. I assume that you mean the United States government.
2) The US government is funded by taxes on legitimate businesses. Dog fighting is not a legitimate business specifically because it is both illegal and immoral.
3) If you are going to attempt to insult a country or its people you might at least attempt to be reasonably intelligent about it.

Of course it would - perhaps the answer is to put the owners of the fighting dogs in the ring with knives and cudgels and not let them out again!

Yes it would! It's still animal cruelty. And the fact that someone is making money off of it is just sick!
