Ron Paul is the only Republican I would vote for over Obama, but when was the last time a Representative of Congress was nominated by the Republicans? (not during my lifetime-I know that!)
Ron Paul will have to win the Iowa Caucauses in order for Katie Curic, Merideth Veiera,Matt Laurer, George Stephanoffoles (that is my best attempt to spell his last name lol) and Tim Russert to start talking about him on prime time news shows and Sunday morning National political shows.

I'll take Obama over any of the big money heavy hitters like Romney ,Gulliani or McCain.
Did you not notice in November of 2006 that Americans are pissed off like hell over Iraq? and the way our troops are being treated? They are about to end their tour in Iraq but then told they have to stay another 9 months or another year! If they shoot back they get court marshalled!
What are YOU doing to help get American soldiers out of Iraq?

Obama comes from humble backgrounds he wasn't a rich little kid.

I think he likes to tell it like it is, and i'm voting for him. He gave an awesome speech here in south florida last week.

I think Obama is a politician, so he is very careful what he says. He is a brilliant Harvard Educated Lawyer, so he knows how to speak for effect. He has not been around politics as long as the other Democratic Candidates, so many of his ideas, goes against the party's norm. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. His willingness to engage in diplomacy with nations that are not in good standing with the United States is refreshing. The Diplomatic route is always better then warfare. Wars cost lives, money, and political careers. Not to mention the efforts to rebuild after the destruction caused by warfare.

Obama tells you things you want to hear. When he first started out he was very honest and open. Now he is just another politician, careful with what he says. As for taking money, if a big corporation offers him money I guarantee you he will take it. It's all about the money. If you want someone who tells it like it is look at Dennis Kucinich.

I think Obama is the lesser of the 2 evils (if only him and Clinton are on the ballot). He's a little green, so he's not as corrupt as the older, jaded politicians. He has good intentions, and he tries to help people.

Yet, if I hand to choose between him and Ron Paul, I choose Ron Paul hands down, blind-folded. Why? Because Ron Paul's political ideology is compatible with mine, and I trust him because of his consistent voting record and his integrity.

I don't know if senator Obama has the integrity and the courage to speak the truth like congressman Ron Paul does.

A better way to say it is to say, "He calls 'em like he sees 'em." Which considers the possibility that he could be wrong, but concedes that he's got some political courage.

Then again, he can afford to have political courage this time, because, with Hillary as the front-runner, the odds are against him. To put it another way: HE DOESN'T HAVE TO WIN THIS TIME. A Democrat does, but it doesn't have to be him. At his age, add another four or eight years, and he'll be more ready, and he will likely get another shot, after Hillary's eight years, unless she picks a Vice President of epic proportions -- can't imagine who, unless it's Obama himself.

i'll vote for him too if he gets nominated. he is not a typical Democrat and many hardcore righties refuse to even give him a chance. i hope he wins.

see, the first answer, chris m, obviously doesn't know about the years Obama spent strengthening communities in poor areas of Chicago.

Then where does he get all his money ? You should be asking this question instead of singing his praises. It might scare you to find out.
