I was new to my current job about 6 months ago, and the girl I was replacing was leaving a day or two after I arrived. well the last day she was here, she baked a whole pan of cup cakes for our office and asked me if I could deliver them to all her friends back at work. She was running late to the airport so she gave them to me to deliver. the only thing is that once she got on the plane, I tryed one and it was really good! so I just took the whole pan back to my place and ate all of them. is this wrong?

Yeah! I ate the whole pan. it took me two days but i did it! They were the little cup cakes, all small and delicious with the frosting and sprinkles.

Everytime she calls, i tell her that noone is here, and if there are people talking in the background, i just hang up on her. we are in different countries now so its not like she can call all the time.

This is hardly a 'serious' moral issue. It does, however, show that you are a self-centered person. There's really no way to help you. The right thing to do would be to contact this person and admit what you did. However, if you want absolution without this humiliation, here's what I suggest.
Do something nice for the office, and don't take credit. Get there early with a batch of cupcakes or pastries, for example, and put them in the break room without being seen. Put a note on it that says: "From: (whatever this lady's name is). 'Pay it forward', as they say.

You HAVE no morals. For all intents and purposes, you stole from the people you work with. If the leaving employee should keep contact with anyone from the office, you will be branded "untrustworthy". Not a good situation to be in with your co-workers.Worse case scenerio is that no one who finds out will bring it up to you, just let let contempt for you build up.

Oddly, I find that funny. Should I? I don't know...maybe not. But it did make me giggle. Why hang up on her? Come clean and tell your that you loved her cup cakes so much that you ate them all. Maybe she wont get upset and she'll just take it as a compliment!

A person only has their word and honor to set them apart from everyone else.
You've dishonored yourself and your word. I'm surprised you would ask for opinions here.
Do you think this person will never talk to the friends she left behind? You fellow workers probably already know about it and are talking behind your back right now.

Yes, of course it's wrong.
You violated your word by not doing what you said you would do, and you took action based upon your own selfish desires.
The question is, what are you going to DO about it?

Yes. Its pretty messed up and it will come back to you. I'm sure she is still in contact with the people she worked with and they will find out and it will cause trouble in your work place. I suggest you start looking for another job. Office drama is the worst.

Uh, yeah, seeing how they werent yours. The right thing to do is to at least buy some new ones, and come clean with your co-workers. There probably gonna think its funny, and forget about it.

Yes, it was wrong. You agreed to deliver something and instead defrauded your new coworkers of their just desserts (sorry, couldn't resist).
I certainly hope she doesn't talk to one of her old coworkers and ask them how the cup cakes were.
