Turn the % into a decimal and multiply it.
.10 X 25 =
.33 X 34 =
.25 X 45 =

Think of what 10% 33% and 25% represent: 1/10, 1/3, & 1/4
You would divide 25 by ten in your head (just move the decimal over 1 to the left) to get 2.5.
You would divide 34 by 3 to get 11.3 (11 and 1/3rd).
You would take 45 and divid it into fourths in your head which would get you 11.25 or 11 and 1/4th.
Its really easy.

For 10%, u divide the number by 10.
(eg) 10% of 25= 25/10=2.5
For 33%, u divide the number by 3.
(eg) 33% of 34 = 34/3 = 11 (approx)
For 25%, u divide the number by 4.
(eg) 25% of 45 = 45/4 = 11 (approx)

10% of 25: divide 25 by 10 or simply move one decimal place to the left and you have as a final answer, 2.5.
33% of 34: bring down 4 as unit integer; 3 + 4 you have 7 as tens integer; bring down 3 as hundreds integer. Then you have the number, 374. Multiply mentally 374 by 3 and you have 1,122. Move two places to the left and you have a final answer, 11.22.
25% of 45: mentally divide 45 by 4 and you have 11.25 as the final answer, or if you wish divide first 45 by 2 and you have 22.5 then divide it further by 2 and you have as a final answer, 11.25.

well per cent comes from teh old French "for a 100", so percent of somthing is the same as :
n X your value / 100
For example:
19 % of 25 is
19 X 25/100 =
19 X .25 = 4.75

a simple way to do it is to divide by 100 and multiply by the percantage...so
25/100=0.25
then multiply by 10, so the answer is 2.5
alternatively you can do the amount multiplied by the decimal equivelant of the percentage so 33% is 0.33 and 25% is 0.25...so
34x0.33=11.22
