We're formed from inorganic (not alive) stuff and we're alive.

Maybe you should try to find a definition of life first.
We are animated by the constant chemical reactions going on inside our bodies. Other things are animated by chemical reactions too, maybe not as complex as us (or other animals).
Where would you draw the line?

Love brings nothing to the matter. It's your own perception. I can say that there's not line. We're more complex organisms and that we're not more alive than common table salt. You can draw the line around us and say that our consciousness is what makes us alive. Or draw the line around animals and plants and say that organic functions is what makes us alive. Or include fungi too.

You need a definition of life first and you need to understand life to define it...

Love is relative; that's for sure. As for you, we are starting to hate you.
