Brett Favre well have a record breaking season. If things are good he might come back for another year.
And like me, he lived in a van down by the river.

I am a die-hard Packer fan and I think Favre will have a good year this year. Everyone is so willing to blame Favre for a loss, but Favre can't win every game like people think. He is a great asset but he needs core people around him which he hasn't had in years. Actually, during the preseason games, the starting offensive line is looking incredible. Noone is getting to Favre and he is able to see the field and has all the time in the world. It doesn't look like he is running for his life any more.
As for Drivers injury, he will be back because it isn't a season ending injury. Rehab is going well and they for sure expect him back by the first game of the year. Greg Jennings and James Jones are both incredible receivers which will take pressure off of Favre to Driver and potentially help win games.
Yes, Green Bay is a very young team but that have a TON of talent on the team. I think Green Bay has a strong potential to make the playoffs this season as long as the team isn't plagued by injury.
Favre has led the Packers since 1992 when Mike Holmgren gave Favre the opportunity when Majkowsi got injured and the team has never looked back. (I am sure the Falcon franchise regrets releasing Favre). Favre was a great QB and still is a great QB. some of the stuff he does on the field, many QB's would never be able to complete them. Favre is fun to watch because you know he isn't doing it for the pay but for the love of the game. He is using the talents given to him to the fullest. I hope Favre comes back for a few more seasons because the offense and defense will just get stronger. Since the Super Bowl team of 1996, Favre is the only remaining Packer on the team. Now, rather than reflect on the past, he spends long days and nights reviewing film while other go home just so he can be a well prepared QB that can lead the Packers into the playoffs and hopefully the super bowl soon.
Go Green Bay, this is our year with the youngest team in all of the NFL!!!

depends upon how you define a good season. if he's in the 80's for a qb rating on a team as young as the packers, i would consider that a good year. interceptions dont matter if you can counter them with td's and wins. yes, i believe favre will have a good year. the offense wont begin to blossum until midway through the season though. it is the youngest team, so it will take time. he'll have a good season, breaking many records, and leaving the game most likely after this season on a high note.
however, if he does fill these credentials and people still say he's washed up and so on, he'll stay and play a while longer to prove he has more juice left and to irrate those to who dont like him. that's favre for ya, lol.

He doesn't have much of a supporting cast. At some point they're going to have to move forward and start playing a young QB to give him the skills he'll need for the future. I think this year Favre could find himself on the bench before the season is over. I know he won't like that, but it would be best for the Packers in the long run. Either way, the Packers are in for a rough season.

I hope he does. I'm not a Packers fan, but no one loves the game more that Brett. He's the one reason I don't throw my fist through the door when I hear about the exorbitant salaries that professional athletes make to play a game.
Some people truly appreciate the gifts that God gave them and are thankful for the opportunity to do what they love. Brett continues to work hard every offseason at his craft.
Hats off to you, Brett. I hope you have a great season.

He'll have a better season then last year he has a extra year with the recievers and the defenses in the NFC Central with the exception of the Bears are even worst. The last game against the Bears he can still tear up a offense and not throw the deep ball which always added to his interception rate.

I think it depends all on Drivers health and how efficient they can run the ball. Everyone is so quick to blame Favre, but how much can one guy do? When working with a young team, young receivers tend to be out of position or make other mental errors. I think he can have a descent year IF
1. They run the ball more then last year
2. Young receivers develop
3. They get rid of Ferguson
Wait #3 is done! now lets see if they can do the first 2

Favre is still one of the better QBs in the game. Is he the QB he once was? No but still better than many in the league. The problem is not Favre but they have little other talent around him on offense other than Driver.

Favre's got a gunslinger arm if he can keep it accurate like a sniper rifle thats good. But if just sprays the ball around like a shotgun thats bad.
