The next total eclipse will be in 2017 and will cut across the US from Washington State to South Carolina. The next one after that will be in 2024 and will cut across the US from Northern Mexico to New England. There is an annular eclipse in there somewhere as well but I can't remember exactly what year right now. There will be a really good total eclipse in India in 2009 that I am going to try and go see. Want to come with me?

The next total solar eclipse visible in North America is in 10 years, 2017.

On the 21st of August in 2017. Many will see this eclipse as it traverses the U.S.
