I'm pretty sure they work if they have no splits/holes in them. They're just suppose to help you not get a girl pregnant, but you never know cause **** does happen. Using a condom is always good though, but it's not good on STD's. If ya wanna be safe, use a condom or don't have sex at all.

They grant the best protection out of all that prevent getting pregnant. The best ones are of course the Durex ones. Those should be the most effective in preventing to get one pregnant and the least likely to get holes.

Holes obviously can't prevent you/ your girlfriend getting pregnant.
If you have a condom, use it only ONCE.

If you still doubt condoms you may try to contact a sexuologist, they can tell you about whole bunch of methods - natural methods, contraception etc etc ^^ There are quite a lot of them. But condoms are most common and the most effective, this i can assure you.

It is still possible. But the chances are rather small. I believe it's about 1 in 10,000 chance of still getting pregnant. Just like most birth control pills. The only 100% effective birth control is to abstain.

they can work if used properly, but like all types of birth control they are not 100% effective. Even if it doesn't have a split or a hole, it could be used improperly and not do its job. Therefore, you should always have a back up method, or just not have sex.

Condoms really work and have been proven very effective with the proper care (don't keep it in your wallet, don't use two etc...)

yes it is still possible that even with the condom in primo condition you can still concieve, with it slipping off or if you used an oil based lubricant. Latex is not friendly with oil so buy the right lube.

I personally would never rely on condoms alone to prevent pregnancy, as a woman its my body and my responsibility to control what happens to it and im just not going to trust it to a thin film of latex. If you are going to have sex get on the pill or some other form of birth control, too many factors can cause a condom to fail, something as simple as not enough lubrication during sex can cause a condom to break or teat. They just arent a safe alternative to other forms of bc in my opinion. Dont get me wrong though, you still need to use them when you have sex to help avoid disease if you arent in a totally monogamous relationship.

Condoms are not 100% safe. But then, no birth control method is. All things being equal, condoms will protect against an unwanted pregnancy. When they don't, the word "Oops" comes to mind.

condoms are a good method of birth control, but are not perfect. they may be untorn when put on but may not stay that way. A condom can be supplemented with a spermaside or intrauteran device for extra protection. The only sure way to not become pregnant is to not have sex.

even if they are used properly, and don't break, you still have a chance of getting pregnant, as they are not 100% effective. they're like 98% effective, or something like that.

me and my fiancee haven't had any problems with them breaking or anything.

But like i said they is not a 100% effective form of birth control, you can still get pregnant if something should happen even on birth control pills, i'm living breathing proof.

The only thing that is 10% effective is abstinence, (NO SEX) .

Theres like less than a 5% chance and that 5% is human error not failure of the rubber. If you really dont want to get pregnant get on the pill or dont have sex at all.
