Well, what are you looking for? There is Kings Dominion, and amusement park. There are a large amount of museums, such as the Science Museum of Virginia, the Museum of the Confederacy, Virginia Historical Society, etc. There is the Canal Walk and Browns Island downtown. There is the Richmond National Battlefield Park system. You can take a walk/drive down Monument Avenue. There is Maymont Park, which consists of the Dooley Mansion, an interpretive center, animals, and some beautiful grounds. There are several malls throughout the area, and a great shopping area in Carytown (Cary Street between Thomas and Boulevard). There is the Byrd Theater in Carytown.

See if you can grab the Richmond Times Dispatch on Thursday or Friday. It will list weekend events.
