Well I just took midol for the first time. It kicked in really fast, but now I am shaky and feeling weak. I know they contain alot of caffine and i rarely have chocolate or hot chocolate and I never drink coffee. Am I like this because Of the caffine? Or is it just a side effect? I ate 2 pieces of toast with cheese whiz about 3 hours ago and I just ate one of those nature vally trail mix bars. So it is not from a lack of food (and I making lunch right now so I am not starving myself). Please help me out.

Midol made me feel that way too - I just quit taking it because then it was making me nauseous too.

Sounds like an allergic reaction to me. It's also possible you may be sensitive to some component of it (maybe caffeine, maybe something else).

I'd say just not to take it if it gives you any negative reaction unless the benefits out-weight the deficits (in which case it's a personal call).

If you experience any of the following serious side effects, stop taking acetaminophen and diphenhydramine and seek emergency medical attention:
an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives);

liver damage (yellowing of the skin or eyes, nausea, abdominal pain or discomfort, unusual bleeding or bruising, or severe fatigue);

blood problems (easy or unusual bleeding or bruising); or

low blood sugar (fatigue, increased hunger or thirst, dizziness, or fainting).

Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur including:

dry eyes, nose, and mouth;

drowsiness or dizziness;

blurred vision;

difficulty urinating; or

excitation in children.

If I were you, I would have my blood sugar checked by a physician.
It soulds like Diabetes, and that's how I get when my blood sugar goes to low or too high. I get weak and shaky.
hope you take my advise. CLYN
