i want to take the hewlet packard 7400 printer out

Go into the Printers and Faxes section of the Start Menu (or to the Printer icon in the Control Panel). You should see an icon or listing for the 7400. Right click on it and select Delete.

Yes, you can uninstall it through the Device Manager feature. You can also go to "Printers and Faxes", highlight the HP 7400 Printer, and then just Delete it.

You may also have to go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > and then remove or uninstall the drivers and/or software associated with the HP 7400 Printer.

That should fix you up.

Close down your computer first and then uninstall your printer.

go to start - run, and type devmgmt.msc, and then go to the printer section and uninstall the unwanted device...
