You cannot have a long crack repaired.

Long cracks are usually not repairable. Depends on where you live as to whether it requires replacement or not. In Texas if it doesn't obstruct the drivers view it doesn't require replacement. California requires replacement for most cracks regardless of where they're located.

replaced....once cracked that winshield is compromised and the slightest pebble can rip that baby back open...$100 bucks get a new one.

get it replace before it will damage your windshield glass.
