Unless he is truly stuck in the rock the best thing to do is just wait him out. Eventually he will come out of the rock. Trying to force him out is risky at best.

I have had fish get stuck in ornaments before and had to actually take the ornament and fish out of the tank and break it with a hammer and a nail set to crack it in a certain place so as not to damage the fish. Quite stressful, but saved the fish from starvation. Be very careful where you place the point of the nail set and don't hit it too hard....

Other times, I have just picked up the ornament that I thought the fish was stuck in and held it above the surface of the water for a few seconds, but with the fish's head and gills in the water. If it can get out on it's own, it will do it then.

are you SURE he's actually stuck?
because my cousin has a big spotted catfish and he is so lazy and hell sit on the same rocks for days. i say put the new rock and wait a couple a days and he'll probably go to the new rocks.

is it stuck stuck? or does he just not want to come out? i would just try to pull the rock out of the water and if it cant get out, you might have to carefully try to break the rock..thats really all you can do. if he just wont come out, slowly pull the rock out of the tank(might want to use a glove if hes that big tho) and if he can get out, he will
