I grew up in Rhode Island and whenever relatives would visit we would go to Old Sturbridge Villiage. It is in Massachusetts. I have very fond memories of going there as a child. If you like doing historical things... you will love this place!!!

Old Sturbridge Village (OSV) is a living museum located in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, USA, which re-creates life in rural New England during the 1830s. It is the largest living museum in New England, covering more than 80 hectares (200 acres).

Hard to know where to start there. I guess you should begin in Boston. Lots to see and do, and a great place for a walk.

The Maine coast line in the summer is quite beautiful. Can't beat the seafood either.

Vermont and New Hampshire have some great mountains, and the fall colors are world famous. Great place for a drive.

Go to www.lightninrv.com and click on Rentals. Once there, go to the "Special Events Calendar"...but don't look at if for just the time period you'll be going, look at the entire year...lots of fun things listed, but all the destination sites are good all year long.

Them scroll down to "Travel Links" and look at "The Wackiest Tourist Attractions" and "Largest Roadside Attractions" in the U.S. for some fun ideas. There's several other fun sites listed and some very helpful travel sites as well you might want to go over.

Depends on what you want to do. My opinion, from what I've seen: for the beach, go to Maine. The woods in general: Vermont. Historical sites are all over the place, but Massacusetts seems to have a lot. Rhode Island beaches are nice, too.
