Where can i check if a company name is already taken??

i'm going to name my new business but i want to get an original name for my city at list, i want to see if there's a website to check that.

Go to your state's official website and click on the BUSINESS link. When you try to register your business, you'll be notified if the name is already taken.

You can also call the phone number on this page and ask them to check for you.
