He can declare this "emergency" in order to assume near dictatorial powers. (US under U.N. Law in health emergency).

May 2007 - Bush signs National Security Presidential directive 51 (and) Homeland Security Presidential directive 20. (giving himself more powers)

Aug 2007 - One week following the Montebello Summit....
SPP homepage outlines the North American Plan for Avian and Pandemic Flu - which features the agreement "newly reached" by "TRILATERAL bureaucratic working groups".

Co-Incidence?? I think NOT!! What do you think?

This "emergency" is really only a "THREAT" that will come in convenient for him.

After reading some of the previous posts, I had to laugh...The ability of some to forever keep their cranial container placed in their anal orifice or in the sand is, in fact, astounding. As Bush is guided to perform feats never seen before, you all acquiesce and ignore what is going on around you.

So sheeple...As you are led to the slaughter, by the wolves themselves, remember, there were sheep dogs that tried to prevent the mass migration to the knives, but the sheep looked upon them as wolves too, because of their teeth, and were frightened of them, so paid them no heed.

Does anyone remember 1918? Or read about it? The flu pandemic of 1918 killed millions. Much more than WW1.

The avian flu virus has the same potential if it can cross the species barrier. And when it does it will spread in a matter of weeks world wide. That's why we must be completely prepared before it/if happens.

......Its not as though Bush has to be creative enough to come up with an original thought. The "Arnold" tossed around an amendment to allow a foreign born person 'himself' to run for President.

Giuliani wanted to suspend the city charter to allow him to run again Post 9-11 because he was the only person who could have seen us through such difficult times..... both of them are Republicans ...it must be privilege # 617D in the Member benefit handbook.

I wouldn't put it past the dictator. You know that is what he has always wanted. I think it is very coincidental that they are wanting troops to do duty at DC for the next year...my guess is that they are going to do something that is nothing more than propaganda and will p*ss off REAL RED BLOOD AMERICANS! Not a traitor like boy George there.

Billions given to the pharmeceutical companies for research development and vaccines, that will go bad before they are needed. How many people in the united states died of the avian flu this year??

It would make for a huge payday for the drug companies, but to declare an emergency people would need to be sick, you can't declare an emergency over something that might happen later.

Don't make the same mistake as Republican voters, in overestimating the competence of President Bush.

I have been watching this very closely. I am pretty sure they are up to no good right now. May those who have eyes, see; and those who have ears, hear.

Why is everyone who can think outside the box termed "a liberal"? This is a mystery to me.
I have no political affiliations.

edit: Thanks WindTalker..Well I think he has the better answer..lol..I love his wording.
