I can't remember the last time that I had purchased socks because I can't stand them so I am sure I will wait until it no longer covers my foot before I give up on them.

If the sock was mass produced, it might get team-layered with odd socks underneath the pair during colder months. When the hole gets large enough for a quarter to pass through it gets recycled into something else.

If it's a hand-knit sock, it gets repaired the moment the damage is noticed.

When my toe won't stay in the sock. Most of my socks are cute ones w/ designs on them so, I try to keep them wearable as long as possible.

I don't like socks to begin with. I throw the families socks at the slightest hint there is a hole.

No socks here only sandals and we all know socks with sandals is a blinking beacon for tourist around here. I toss the kids socks out at the first hint of toe.

when my toe starts getting hung up in the sock hole and wont stay in no matter how many times you try to keep it in, then I guess its time to ditch the sock....☺
