Always.

Look up Sampson, Atlas, Odyseus, Superman, you name it but all heroes have one thing in common: Their strengths are always their weaknesses. And heroes are just men exagerated.

Example. If I were to say "I love you. " You and others could use that to control me, to make me do things that put me in jeopardy. The love that should strengthen me, make me brave, make me thoughtful, could be used to distract me, keep me busy, out of the way, preoccupied, and if the person really wanted to hurt me they would simply take that love away from me by either taking you or getting you not to love me back. Wham! I am heartbroken and in that moment my strength is my weakness.

This is why all great love stories turn out to be tragedies.

John Elway had many strengths. He was mobile. He had a strong arm. He could think in the pocket.

But, when he stayed in the pocket people would try and hit him. When he scrambled people would go after his knees. When he through too hard the receivers would drop the ball or it would go flat and be picked off.

His strengths became his weaknesses up until he realized that he could use these weaknesses to his advantage If they blitzed because he passed then he would call more running plays so they would hit the runningback and not him, this way he could stay in the pocket or become a blocker and hit the other guy instead of being hit himself, and as for how hard he could throw all that meant is throw short or throw out of bounds because timing is critical when are beset by enemies on all sides.

Oooh Football.

A strength and a weakness.

I just talked to you about it and half the women in this place tuned out.

Your looks are a strength but you can find them a weakness if you think they make you seem too flighty. Blonde, good looking ---- must be an air head. Am I correct in assuming you think people prejudge you? It would be normal to feel prejudged.

How many times have you heard a woman complain about men staring at their breasts, all the time they are in a wifebeater or a tube top or something low cut. If they did not want them looked at why did they chose the most revealing clothing possible?

(Boo!!! Hiss!!! Boo!!!)

Basketball shorts. They used to be real short and now they are real long. Why is that. It is not for comfort? You could move quicker in the old shorts than the new ones. Runners still wear the old shorts. The fact is player thought it made them look better endowed with longer shorts. Michael Jordan in particular wanted the change. And now every guy walks around in shorts that make him look like he has elephantitis wearing a **** untucked so that he looks like a peanuts character. It is hysterical.

But do women actually like that look? Do any of them actually believe that the gift is as big as the package? I don't think so. And form women I have spoken to in the past, Noooo.

The point is the things that we are proud of, that we care for, that we identify with all put us up to scrutiny.

We want to be judged but we may not like the judgment.

Strength - weakness.
