The best hotel for me is the Venetian. It's a gorgeous hotel with incredible service and they offer great rates. I haven't stayed at the Bellagio, Caesar's or the Wynn because their rates are exorbitant without any breaks. Mandalay Bay is a small step down from the Venetian but is still incredible - they do offer some better rates but you have to sign up to receive email promotions. The Mirage's rooms were good but noisy and the whole place was crowded. MGM Grand is the next step down but is still nice.

My favorite high end hotel - the Venetian
My next favorite - Mandalay Bay
Mid-range - MGM Grand, NYNY or Mirage
Low Price - Excalibur (rooms like you'd find at a Ramada, Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn - nothing fancy but has consistently good rates and is in a good location) or South Point (incredible rooms - not on strip)

Avoid the Sahara (gross), Bally's (shabby) and the Tropicana (shabby).

I am a Treasure Island fan. I have stayed there a couple times and have NEVER had a problem. Staff is friendly and helpful. Dealers actually have some personality and helpful.

MGM is also very nice. Stayed once and would stay again.

I would avoid Casers Palace. Stayed there for 4 nights and had problems every single day. When I complained they offered me a whole $30 in hotel credit.

depends on how much money you have to spend, if you are wanting to splash out and go for the best then i would suggest bellagios, mgm grand, caesars palace, or mandalay. cheaper hotels tend to be on the edge of the strip such as stratosphere or hilton, you can always go cheaper by choosing a hotel just off the strip, just a short walk maybe or short taxi ride.

I have stayed at the Luxor a couple of times and have enjoyed it. Though the first time we got a terrible view.

Have stayed at the Excalabur many years ago not sure how it would be now.

Will be staying at the Riviera soon, first time.

Have fun, the thing to remember is that you're not in the rooms that much and you'll go to different casinos so look at your budget and pick a hotel based on that.

We stayed at the Riviera to save $ and i'm glad we did. Rooms were comfortable, and we were out all day anyway. there is a bus that goes up and down the strip all day.

It depends on your budget. It also depends on the type of hotel you want...kid friendly or more adult-oriented.
IMHO, the best hotel is the Bellagio.

I stayed at NY NY and I loved it! You honestly can't go wrong with any hotels there to be honest (except the ones in "old" Vegas or like Mandalay Bay). HAVE FUN!
