Will you at least admit that with the last few reps that have been involved in a scandle, the cons have NOT made up excuses for them? When Rep. Jefferson was caught with $90,000 in his freezer lots of dems made excuses for it. Why all of a sudden are libs obsessed with republican sex scandals? When a dem president was accused of rape, sexual misconduct, and sexual harrassment, dems said, it was his private life and didn't matter. When a dem congressman was caught running a gay prostitution ring out of his D.C. appartment, it was his personal life, and if the republicans went after him, they were somehow homophobic. With the way the democrats have been going after gay republicans,one must wonder which party is homophobic. Where was your outrage about a certain democratic governor had a gay affair and gave his boyfriend a government job? I heard no dem's voice outrage about it. I have, however, heard several conservatives condemn and distance themselves from republicans involved in scandal. Which party holds the high ground when it comes to disciplining their own members for sexual scandals, scandals period. I saw no republican running to Duke Cunningham's defense when he was being investigated.
My point is, there is corruption on both sides of the political aisle, it's just now that the dems are in control of the house and senate and only republicans will be looked at unless it is a huge scandal involving a dem (oh, wait, there already have been accusations of a huge scandal involving Sen Feinstein, but no ethics investigation). Give us a break, just because someone says he is a conservative, doesn't make him a conservative, and just because a conservative screws up, doesn't mean we all to the same things.

First of all, it's not an angry rant, it's the truth. Second, I don't think there will be another republican sex scandal. I think the public will tire of it. Besides, are dems the only ones that can make public mistakes, or are they the only ones who can make public mistakes and get away with it.

I pray it's Norm Coleman, (R) Senator of Minnesota.

For years he was a democrat, then went republican and won a seat in the senate.

If he was caught in a sexual scandal he could switch back to democrat and literally get a free ticket into the White House as a VP for anybody with all of Minnesota's D-lib's pulling for him (and getting their man back.)

Like McCain, he's a middle-left/democrat with an R by his name.

I don't really care, as long as they don't make any more nanny-state laws, increase my taxes, or give amnesty to illegal aliens.

It seems the dems have a problem with gay republicans...kind of like how they called Clarence Thomas an "Uncle Tom".

We welcome people of all colors and sexual appetites to the GOP...as long as you are a rugged individualist who hates a big government.
