So what does that tell you about this hole "war on terror" propaganda? Did anybody ever really care about the War on terror, or was it just a slogan?
Think about it.
If it weren't for the oil, there would be no reason whatsoever for the U.S. to have anything more to do with the Middle East than we're interested in Central Africa.

I am not sure that I agree with your stated facts.

It is evident that war has been declared on USA, where 9-11 was just one skirmish in a campaign that could last a very long time. Remember how long the Cold War lasted, and that there have been wars in history that have lasted longer than a Century.

Resolving this religious conflict will require educational reforms all over the world. We in the west believe that there are Muslim schools teaching falsehoods that inspire future generations of our enemies. But we in the west have holes in our educational systems that faile to communicate to our future generations why these people in the rest of the world hate us,

Understanding the differences and reasons for differences is a prerequisite to fixing them.

Diplomacy can be used v.s the other nations to try to put a stop to the teaching of hate thy enemies, but we also need leaders of different religions to have some meeting of the minds, to work towards living in peace with one another, and honoring the words of God about love thy enemy, turn the other cheek, etc.

After all, the old testament is shared by Christian, Muslim, Jew.

Nope, it'll just come back to bite us (like arming the Afghanis against the evil infidel Russians in the 80's backfired on us). Igf we want democracy and freedom, then we should take out governments like Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and let the people decide.

Of course, the downside is that the people may make an unpopular choice for us (like they did in Iran). So it's a double-edged sword.

In terms of military strategy, obviously not. However, politics doesn't always allow you to make the most strategically sound decisions. Do you think a people who balk at attacking openly hostile states would be enthusiastic about attacking nominally 'allied' ones?
