I'm very down on Reggie Brown this year. That being said, I'd prefer to be on the other side of either trade you listed above with him in it.

As for Trade 3, I'd give the edge to James and Gates although I think Jones-Drew will be valuable this season.

Trade 1
Brown could be the sleeper pick of the year but Holt is a proven stud. Brady outweighs Smith and the only question concerning Addai is how he will do being more involved with the offense. Tatum Bell was in a different offense last year that proves every year it knows how to run and the Lions are going to throw much more now that they have Calvin Johnson. The team receiving Holt, Smith, and Addai get the better of the trade.

Trade 2
Holt is a proven receiver. Brown and Tony Scheffler are sleepers this year. Once you get past the top 5 TE’s all the rest are the same; inconsistent from week to week. The better of this trade goes to Holt.

Trade 3
This is the trade of youngsters for veterans. If this is a keeper league do it. If not hold back and see how James does. He has vowed to put up better numbers this year. But his word is only as good as the offensive line can hold up.

Trade One - Team 2 wins. Alex Smith is obviously a downgrade at QB, but he's still a viable starter. And that's made up for by huge upgrades at WR and RB. Reggie Brown has yet to prove himself as a number one WR, and Tatum Bell will only be starting until Kevin Jones returns. Holt and Addai are both top 6 guys at their positions.

Trade Two - Again, it's the second team. Holt is a significant upgrade over Brown, and Scheffler isn't a difference-making tight end. You can find someone on waivers to replace most of his production.

Trade Three - Team Two wins yet again. Jones-Drew might come close to last year's success, but it's too dependent on Fred Taylor. If Taylor runs well, then JD remains a backup. Edge might not put up huge numbers, but the Cards have improved their O-line and the threat of their passing games should keep teams honest. Obviously, Gates is a huge upgrade over Vernon Davis.

1. Holt Smith and Addai, I think you get more touchdowns out of that group, but its a very even trade.

2. Holt again - I see him getting alot of TD's this year in a wide open offense.

3. Jones Dres and Davis - Edge could always get hurt and Drew will likely get you more TD's. Gates can be up and down and I don't think he scored much last year.
