These harvestable fish can live up to 16 years, and do this once a year, but only after they reach the age of five. What kind of fish?

Salmo salao, The Atlantic Salmon and it breeds once a year after the age of 5. They don't die after spawning once like Pacific Salmon.

ADDITION: That's true Craig, but they spend 2-3 years in freshwater, then spend a minimum of 2 years in saltwater before they start spawning so they are 4-5 at the age of initial spawning.

the only thing that comes to mind is a red drum (sciaenops ocellatus) i know they reach maturity at 5 but live longer than 16 years. Not sure how often they spawn each year though.
Ah magic i was thinking of salmon but thought they reach maturity 2-3 years of age.
Addition: Magic comes through again with his warehouse of uncommonly known information.
