I don't agree with the laws--it's a profiling thing--it targets young guys, esp black males. But since I've seen guys dressing with their underwear hanging out for 15+ years, it doesn't faze me.
I do have the solution, though. This trend has hung in there for so many years because only teenagers and 20-somethings dress this way. If you got Prez George, Mr. Cheney, both houses of Congress, and a few other old, mostly white men to dress like this for a day, there wouldn't be a need for the legislation. It would no longer be cool to dress this way!
The legislation is a waste of time and money--cops should be fighting crime, not fashion.

I agree to some point. I hate baggy pants, but if the law can dictate that, then they will be able to soon dictate any fashion statement that they do not agree with. I think it sets a bad precedent.
