Will an intel Pentium D Processor 820+ (2.80 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2 Cache) work with a Intel Desktop board D101GGC.

It sais only Celeron D is supported, but the guys at the PC shop said that it would work with the processor? Have they made a mistake? or will it work?
Thanks!

Check out the links below from the Intel website for your board and the processor.

First link indicates processor families that are supported on that board.

Second link indicates the supported processors for that board in a bit more detail.

In my quick review, it looks like the board supports:

Processor Number 820
Processor Speed 2.80 GHz
System Bus Frequency 800 MHz
L2 Cache Size 2x1 MB
BIOS Version 0304 or greater
