I believe Canadian healthcare is better. But there are probably more reasons why Canadians live longer than just better healthcare.
I think one major reason might be that Winters are so much colder there (on average) that Canadians get outdoors more in the Summer.

There are many more factors that could influence that other than healthcare. In order to do a proper comparison, you need to find comparable groups in Canada and the US and compute the statistics on life averages. The US has a much larger population than Canada and also have many different living environments than Canada. Healthcare is only one part of the equation.

That surprises me since there seems to be no preventative health care whatever in Canada. You get it and you better hope they can cure it.
