yes! babies and children love and crave a routine. my suggestion sounds like a lot of work but it's not. for 2 or three days let your baby eat and sleep on demand, write down what she does at what time. you may see that she is already in a habit all by herself. ideally you want her to be on a 2 1/2 hour schedule. if she wakes up at 7am feed her at 7am, then at 9:30am followed by a nap. then feeding at 12pm, then feeding at 2:30pm followed by a nap, then feed at 5pm, then feed at 7:30pm and put to bed. try this out and she should sleep all night until 7am again. good luck!!

Absolutely! My son in 3 months old and he has a routine. Like the other person said, feed at the same time, naps at the same time... works like magic. My son is also sleeping through the night.
If you can get a routine going now, the better it will be for you going back to work and also for the baby because that way she will know what to expect as she adapts to it.
Good luck to you and congrats on your baby!!

My daughter has been on a routine for awhile. I think it's just fine especially if you are going to try to go back to work. I fed her at the same time, out her down for naps at the same time, and put her to bed at the same time, that really helped bring some normalacy to my household..... She was sleeping through the night by 2 months....

i had to come back to work when my daughter was 8 weeks old. at about 5 weeks i started getting up at the time i needed to get up for work, got myself showered and dressed then got her ready for the day and left the house. even if we just went around the corner to mc donalds and got a coffee. that way when i started work again she was use to the commotion in the morning at the house. it really made it easier for me. now i get up at 6am take care of myself and the dogs then turn her light on at 6:40am change her diaper put her in clothes and were off to the sitters by 6:50am every morning.
