Not Ortho-Tri Cyclin Low either. I was on it and took it religiously EVERY NIGHT at the same exact time. Well, long story short, I'm due in February... :)

The best birth control out there in my opinion is not having sex. If you are like my husband and i were before deciding to have a baby then i would say condoms. They are only 99% if you use them correctly. There is always the chance of one breaking if warn incorrectly or sliding off etc. There is a 1% chance of getting pregnant, but you don't have to worry about weight gain or remembering to take a pill every day or change a patch. You just have to make sure you always have condoms around that are not expired etc and to have your partner wear one no matter what.

A vasectomy....
Ask your partner to get one.
I am getting one this winter.

Some guys should really consider it

Neither my partner nor I want children.
If she were to get her tubes tied, it would be much more complicated and painful.
The pill is a pain in the butt and messes about with hormones.

A vasectomy takes about forty minutes, hurts only a bit, and is effective.

PS: for some of the answers: Guys, save the commercials, this woman has a question, so please answer it. Or don't. She wasn't asking about your opinion of her sex life, she was asking for a birth control method. So answer the question Or don't.

Saying "Sign right here on this Order On Paternity And For Child Support" to the guy before you have sex.

Seriously? Abstinence.
Birth "control" simply reduces the probabillity of getting pregnant.

I use the nuva ring. It's really good because you can't forget to take it you just put it in once a month. I also have not noticed any side effects.
