The BIG Hollywood movie scripts sell for around $300,000 with smaller ones taking only $30,000. The key is to also get a percentage of the profits and to retain the rights so you'll also make money for the use of your characters in any sequels. :-)

dirt to a fortune. production budget, the material and the writer reputation play major roles in the decision. like an academy award winning writer could be hired to turn a book into a movie screenplay for a couple hundred thousand per week. while u could write something as good as resevior dogs and get sh*t on.

Personally being a movie writer, jobs fluxualte in prices. It just depends on the budget of the movie. what are you really looking for when you ask that question, are you looking for the answer for you?
