this is not a football question and Greyhound is a bus company. Greyhound racing is not legal in all states but those that do race them normally have fairly strict rules and regulations against doping, similar to horse racing. If dogs are being doped it is by unscrupulous owners who are trying to get an advantage illegally. If caught they are suspended and face charges, just like Vick.

Yes. Our judicial system is messed up. Most religions and our government are based on the ideas of free will and PETA can choose which cases they feel like supporting. They add the publicity to the event that forces judges to be more strict when handling touchy cases like the Vick one. The fact is though, greyhound racing is legal and an everyday occurance. The situations are very similar, but what Vick did was more severe as far as the degree of his cruelty. I think greyhound racing and what Vick did are both wrong, but PETA does have the freedom to take whatever cases it chooses to. I would argue that Vick should serve more time than the one year he will probably get. But, celebrities get off easy. OJ got off easy while others would have gotten the death penalty (not to mention found guilty). It's different when the person in the middle is on of the nations most respected football players.
Also, Vick's offenses crossed state borders, making it a federal case.

What the hell is Greyhound? The bus company? Those are just painted dogs - not REAL ones! I said that because you obviously don't have the sense to tell the difference.
The Feds got involved in the Vick case because Vick was obviously paying off the local law enforcement agencies. They had tons of evidence to arrest him and they did nothing so the Feds investigated. The Feds are probably looking at what kinds of cars those local cops are driving. Those locals are Vick's homey's and rumor has it that some of them actually attended some dog fights.

The difference is PETA won't get attention over this. Notice how when the dogs were found it was THE HUMANE SOCIETY that came in and helped get them out NOT PETA. PETA only cares about the money. They keep showing it if you ask me. Yes everyone should be held accountable if they are breaking the laws. I'm not really sure what you are talking about, but yeah they should be held accountable.

I don't think the PETA people go to dog track much either. One big difference is that greyhound racing is supervised by veterinarians.
