Don't ever use fabric softener on your towels - it saturates the fibres making it hard for the towels to absorb anything else, even water! If you use it on clothes, the residue can still affect your towels even if you don't add it to the wash.

You can add fabric softner with your laundry in a couple ways. You can add it at the rinse cycle, use dryer sheets in the dryer, or you can be like me and I use laundry soap with the fabric softner in it. I usually add bleach to my whites everytime.

Fabric softener goes in the same time as you add your powder, 3 drawers, first drawer is when you do a Pre-wash. second drawer is for normal wash, and the little drawer that has the symbol of a flower inside is for the softener, Bleach, I never add bleach to my washing , as it only turn´s your whites Yellow and Grey after a time . Well you can add liquid fabric softener to your wash when it is on the rinse cycle. I like to use Downy Simple Pleasures in Lavender and Vanilla. I love that stuff. It smells great, but not overpowering. Or you can just throw a dryer sheet in before you start drying. I usually like to bleach my whites every cycle. I always put aside all of my whites and wash them all together with 1/2 cup of bleach and it keeps them smelling great and looking awesome!! Hope this helps! :)

You add fabric softener just before the rinse cycle. Some products have it in the laundry soap itself. As for bleach, you can use it whenever you feel your whites need it, however do not overdue it with bleach, meaning never put too much in....because it can eat thru certain fabrics.Good luck!
