It could be karma, or it could be a genuine affection. In either case, it's likely that Nikki has a quality that Josh would like to see in himself. Josh is a learning, growing Soul, as we all are, and Nikki has something to teach him.

The heart has reasons of which reason knows nothing.
Really now, a crush, by definition, means that true connection is almost impossible. How many middle-aged women had crushes on John or Paul or George or Ringo even after they were married? My cousin married a Hansen brother. You think there aren't women out there with crushes on him?
I even know a married couple who allow themselves a list of 5 men/women, respectively, that they could sleep with if the opportunity arose without guilt or reproach. I think her list has Brad Pitt and his has Halle Berry, neither of whom would give my friends the time of day.

OMG.
I have the same exact problem.
And.
Their names are the same.
Anyways, the answer is that, he can't just turn off his feelings.
He'll learn that she's with someone else, and that he needs to try to not love her.
I wouldn't push him about it.

Personally, I love girls that are "taken" because it makes them more desirable and well, I guess I like the challenge. Whateva.
