What was the reason that made you love Rock music ? Was it the attitude of Rock ? the hard riffs ? the guys ? their dresses ? their raw and rebel personalities ? or their matchless vocals ?
The reason why I chose to listen to Rock was the attitude, the guys and the great original sounds played and produced by brilliant artists cause I hated the gay and partially fag boy bands who played sounds n beats with a high quality electric piano that comes with a lot of dance beats.
The vocals and guitar solos played by bands such as Steel Heart, Q5, Skid Row, Trixter, Dream Theatre, Damn Yankees (come again), Guns n Roses, Slaughter, Metallica, Kiss, Pantera(cemetary gates), Motley Crue(misunderstood), Ratt, Kix, Winger, Judas Priest, Stryper(the way) are totally unrivaled and made history.

i love it cuz i can relate to it. i mean hip hop is like "watch me do this beotch" and i can't relate to that and i don't support those kind of things. but rock is like talking about vampires. only the vampires are a metaphor for society and they're trying to suck your blood and take your soul away. which means society is over rated and you shouldn't let it change who you are. and rock takes way more talent and the entire attitude is awesome. it's kinda like my therapy. it helps me with life and i find peace in it.

I was born in '67, so my parents listened to the '50's and '60's music, and so I grew up on a lot of that, and WLS radio in Chicago. It's a feeling, a groove. I can't put a finger on it. Most of the time, I don't care about the words to the song. Elvis was big when I was growing up. Then I "got my identity" and got into Aerosmith, Frampton, and finally Kiss. After that is was all over. ( : As far as new bands go, Nickelback is my favorite. Kiss still rocks as my fave, though. Except for Beth!

I have to say that I listen to rock cause it goes with my personality.My father also had a great influence on my music taste.Because of him I grew up listening to
Metallica
Megadeth
Anthrax
Slayer
Pantera
... and later on to bands like Pearl Jam,Alice in Chains,Soundgarden.While other teenage girls where listening to bubble gum pop I was becoming a true metal head.
What I like about rock music?Everything!I love going to concerts,the wild parties,the attitude ,the lyrics of the songs...and,of course,the guys(I've only dated musicians,metal heads,band members).
Rock music is so addictive!It's the drug I'll always use;)

I love rock music for the feel of it. I don't know how else to explain it. For instance I went to ozzfest this week and Zak Wylde had a close to 30min guitar solo. It was amazing.
The lyrics, the riffs, the style... what more can i say? I like all kinds of music, but I love rock.

It was the only music I could relate to. Dimebag of Pantera was great in "5 minutes Alone" ... that was how I felt my whole 8th grade year!!!

The music..........the talent and musicianship of the bands.....that's what sucked me in from a very early age. I also find that its more emotional and connected. The lyrics and their delivery connect us to the band and what they're performing.
