My husband and I can't agree on baby names now that we're finally pregnant! He is bound and determined to name a boy Atticus Grey or Atticus Miles. And he wants to name a girl Tomei (toe-may). I'm lost on boy names...I don't want it to be common but I dont want it to be off the wall weird...or anything sissy sounding like Cameron, Brayden, or Quinn.. (sorry if I've offended anyone!)

I LOVE the name Wren for a girl. And hubby said he'll agree if I can find a good middle name. Help please!!! (no Wren Tomei plz)

If you plan on leaving some smart remark about the fact that I said "we" are pregnant please don't bother. I am a nurse and I have already given birth to one child. I am fully aware of the fact that *I* am the pregnant one. Please note that my question is under the "Baby Names" not "Smart @ss Replies" category. Excuse my hormones.....

First of all, I like the name Atticus...isn't that from "To Kill a Mockingbird"? middle name Grey

Secondly, I like Wren, but may be more lyrical as a middle name:
Allison Wren
Amber Wren
Victoria Wren....and so on. You can still call her Wren of course.
I like the name Tierney myself.

Thirdly...you go ahead and say "we are pregnant"all you want. If your husband is so involved with the pregnancy that you feel you are in it equally, then God bless you. There are a lot of women whose husbands were so removed from the process that they felt like they were truly on their own...continue to celebrate the togetherness you guys have now and use any phrase you dang well feel is true!!!

I actually like Atticus- at least it has some literary roots, which is more than you can say for some of these weirdo names these days. I vote for Atticus Grey, by the way.

Now for Wren...it is a lovely concept, a sweet little songbird, right? However, did you realize that it is pronounced the same as Ren, which is not only the lead (male) character in Footloose, but also the world's ugliest cartoon Chihuahua? True, those references might escape the classmates of little Wren, since both of these pop culture icons were well before her time, but as an adult, I had to tell you the first things that popped into my head.

If you are bent on Wren, though, here are middle name ideas-
Wren Gretchen
Wren Alexa
Wren Gwendolyn
Wren Madeleine
Wren Lauren
Wren Celeste

Happy new baby!

I think Atticus Grey sounds great actually. But if he like those names, maybe Miles Grey?

I really like the name Wren, one of my friends in grade school had the name and I have never known anyone since with the name.

Wren Joie (Joy)
Wren Solace
Wren Maera
Wren Lorelei
Wren Aurora

I'm not a huge fan of Wren but Wren Abigail is cute. I can't think of a lot of middle names that go with it but it's growing on me.

I like Miles a lot, not with your husband on Atticus at all but Atticus Miles is cute. Not Atticus Grey because it's 2 unusual names, give the kid a little break :-)

I have the name Wren Annabelle on my Rate and Take list, I think it's cute for anybody who likes the name Wren. I don't care for Atticus though Atticus Grey has a ring to it.

Atticus just looks too much like "attic". Miles Grey maybe? That's still weird, but not as. Maybe he'll like Thomas (Tommy).

I think Wren is a pretty cute name (though it seems more like a middle name to me). Maybe Wren Marie, Wren Claire, Wren Louisa or Wren Aileen.

Wren Rene? Love the name Wren.

I like the name Atticus actually. Currently ancient Greek and Roman names are increasing in popularity, so it's likely not going to be that weird. Another one would be Cassius (Cash for a nickname).

hahaha. you're funny. haha. anyways.....i really like the name wren. i've only head it once before. unique but not too weird. I like the name miles that you have listed. i just don't think it fits with atticus. Some other names I like for a boy is:
griffin
eli
wyatt
gavin
conor

I like thoughs names a lot. I like liam too. But it's now way overused. It's ard to match wren with a middle name but here's what i can think of:
wren mackenzie
wren olivia
wren grace
wren elizabeth
wren sophia
wren claire
wren savannah
wren rihanna
wren summer

it's really hard. I don't really think any of thoughs fit perfectly but that's just me. Maybe you'll like them. You could always use a middle name wren and just call her that. But luck to you!
