There is a Barclays, and you could get more of these emails from other supposed big banks but they are all scams. The Banks do not send out emails of this type. Don't even bother opening them in future but delete. No point in adding them to blocked list as they keep changing their address.

Yes there is a Barclay's bank. But if they were really handling an inheritance that you are the beneficiary for, they'd send you a letter, not an email. This sounds like someone trying to scam you rather than anything legit. This type of email is a very common scam. If you respond, they'll tell you that you need to send money for various fees in order to get your inheritance. Then there won't be any inheritance, but you'd be out whatever you sent them.

There is a Barclay Bank or a Barclays Bank but the email you received is a fraud.
Copy the fraudulent email and send it to www.ftc.gov. The Federal Trade Commission DOES go after this kind of crime.

Yes, there is a Barclay's bank and no you do not have an inheritance waitng for you with their bank. It's a scam, one amongst thousands. Some con artist is out there waiting for someone to bite so they can separate the poor fool from their hard earned money. Keep your money in your jeans and just delete the spam.

Be very careful, this is probably a scam. BarclayS bank is a major player in the UK and would hardly likely email you. If in doubt, PHONE them and ask. Do not reply to the email as it will confirm that your address is live!

There is a Barclay's bank but you will not be contacted by e-mail. If you had an inheritance you would get a letter from a solicitor and it would come by post. You don't get anything for nothing, it's a scam do not answer do not give personal information. The following sites give more information.

There is a Barclay's Bank here in the UK. There should be a phone number or branch address. There is a possibility it is a scam, so DO NOT use phone numbers on the e-mails but call into your local branch first and get it verified!!!

There is a barclay bank however i suspect this is a scam. Do you know anyone who would leave you money. Doe the email have a link in it? Look to see where it goes without clicking on it. I suspect it is to a third party who will then ask you for personal information to validate your identity.

Definitely sounds like a scam. Solicitors deal with inheritances and would write to you.
Got an e mail from BT Broadband saying they were disconnecting my broadband phone, which I don`t use. The e mail stated that I could not reply to it, so rang BT and they knew nothing about, yet it looked so genuine.
Beware there are some sick people out there.
