I like Terry Pratchet, too. Also, JK Rowling, Stefanie Meyers, James Patterson, George Orwell, Robert Fulgham, Richard Paul Evans, John Bytheway, Orson Scott Card (If you like science fiction you should read him) C.S. Lewis and Shakespeare.

Since you like Terry Pratchet, you might like Neil Gaiman or Christopher Moore.
There's also always Stephen King, Dean Koontz, J RR Tolkien, Orson Scott Card, and Philip K Dick

If you like Terry Pratchet & would strongly suggest reading Good Omens (Niel Gaimon co-wrote w/ him). The main character is an earth bound demon sent to begin the process of Armageddon, however, he has grown to like earth and is doing his best to stop it from happening.

I read alot. NO I read an awful lot. There are many mainstream authors to recommend, but for each of them there are thousands of lesser known ones who have penned great books. I enjoy Stephen King, Clive Cussler, Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes), and Earl de biggers (Charlie Chan). Each of these are great authors in my opinion of course.
As for book titles I enjoyed The Pelican Brief, The Da Vinci Code, Red Storm Rising, 2001, 2010, and 2061 trilogy.

Glen Cook has a great fantasy detective series out there. He uses metals in the titles, Copper this Silver that, nickel, gold great reads all. Lots of action, lots of comedy, and the hero always seems to come out smelling like a rose. Matter of fact, he has a penchant for redheads and that is his sometimes girlfriends name Rose. Enjoy!

Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs by Chuck Klosterman. It's a series of humorous essays by Klosterman, who is a music/sports/pop culture writer. He writes for GQ now, was a senior writer for Spin Magazine, and contributes/contributed to ESPN, Esquire, New York Times Magazine, and the Washington Post.

Seriously, this book will have you laughing out loud!
