When did the government change it to become legal? I thought it was legal during the Clinton administration until Bush took over and change it back to illegal.

What has changed is that partial birth abortions have become illegal under Bush (after Clinton vetoed it in 1996 and 1997).

This is a form of late term abortion that was typically performed between 20 and 24 weeks of pregnancy. Here is an article on it (but I will warn you that it is pretty graphic in it's description): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partial_birth_abortion

Abortion has been legal throughout the Untied States since the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision in 1971 or 72. The President can't change the law, only enforce what the legislature enacts into law, and Congress isn't going to make abortion illegal anytime soon. And if the Supreme Court rules a law unconstitutional, he has to enforce their decisions as well. You need to study gov't a little bit.

Abortion has been legal since Roe vs Wade. Bush did not change that. He did however have legislation passed regarding partial-birth abortions I believe, as well as legislation with regard to the age requirements of needing parental consent.

Abortion is still perfectly legal here in Boston, Massachusetts.

There is a big fat abortion clinic right on Commonwealth Avenue along the trolley line, and you can watch girls and young women walk into this place all day long.

Whoever told you that was either pulling your leg or had been listening to some very false rhetoric about George W. This should be a lesson to make sure you have your facts straight and that you are not believing all the random political diarrhea that people will spew.

Where did you hear that rubbish? First of all, no such change has ever been made. Second, the president can't change that. It was a ruling by the Supreme Court (Roe vs Wade).

No, it hasn't been illegal since the supreme court decison that made it legal in 1973.

State's option. Depends on where the abortion takes place.
