The last one is NOT true.

A good example is water. Pure water contains hydrogen and oxygen in a fixed atomic ratio of 2:1. However, at room temperature and pressure water is a non-flamable colorless liquid, and very different from its constituent elements. Hydrogen and oxygen, which under the same coditions are gasses, and in the case of hydrogen, highly flamable.
