Hillary would be his choice, of course! Haven't you heard her speeches??? -- all about "the greater good" and "the community", etc.... straight out of Karl Marx?

Obama would just be a silly puppet. He has no credible experience.

Castro is having fun with the stupidity of the American public.

Whatever the exiled Cubans rant about him, history has absolved Castro and he is an admired and remains a world leader with the reputation to have been the only one to say "stuff it" to the United States. A lot of countries and other leaders admire him for it.

I'm certain that he would be a bit more worried if there was a chance that Americans would vote for a real leader-- Hillary, Obama, Giuliani, McCain.... pose no inconvenience for Castro or Cuba. He knows they can all be had with a little money... not even much!

Hillary has spoken on that very subject at least three times that I heard on the news. The first time was in a debate and she said she would be of course willing to meet with the leaders of nations such as Cuba which are under embargo. The second time was two days later in an interview in which she said it would be extremely foolish for anyone to talk to nations which are under embargo. A week or so later she denied saying anything about speaking with leaders of nations such as Cuba which are under embargo.
Hope that clears up Hillary's feelings on that subject!

I am puzzled.

Every human being, celebrities or not, have preferences and choices for reasons only known to themselves.

I doubt that there is something sinister to account for the old mans preference for Hillary and Obama. She is a female, he is a black man, I bet you Mr Fidel's curiosity got the better of him

"I wonder what would happen with this combination hmm? WIll they stop snubbing Cuba if they get elected? Will my island ever get included in the north american free trade? Getting tourism dollars might not be bad......"

Castro is welcome to his opinion, and I'm sure he hopes the embargo should be lifted so I think it's a no brainer who he might prefer. To say that means Hillary is endorsing Castro's regime or methods is idiotic.
Castro can't vote anyway, unless he moves to Miami. Castro's no worse anyway than Red China or Saudi Arabia which Republicans love doing business so explain that hypocracy please?
