i am a eighteen year old college student, 2 months before school i purchased a used car from my dads friend. i used it for about two months and bought basically everythin for it than my dad took it away from me but im not stayin with my family anymore but they still have my car. and now he has basically takin all my stuff off the car that i had in there and has been driving it since i aint there. so if i paid cash for the car but the title is in no ones name do i have legal rights to take the car away from my father? and if i dont than what can i do to get my car back?

How is the title "in no one's name?" This is what your case is going to hinge on -- who the car is titled to. If it is in fact titled to no one, then you have no legal rights more than your father does.

its in your name if you bought it with your own money. if not its in your dad's name, which is a shame.

a hopefully small possibility is that your dad's friend stole it and its hot property. even if your dad has something against you, the last thing most parents want to see is their kid in legal trouble especially something as innocent as posessing someone elses stolen property after legitimately purchasing it. its a shame the laws in some areas punish the final holder and not the stealer in this case your dad's friend. Then again, the right thing to do is turn all those bastards in. If you can't have the car no one can!

unless the car was stolen your dad is a douche and find yourself a supergood lawyer to get it back.

if you can blackmail your dad to get the car back do it... nobody cares what the secret is (if he doesnt give in you can tell the world and say you're trying to get your stolen car back, people will understand that) and it is legal if you have done nothing illegal- which means your dad is the only one to have acted illegally.

Is the title of the car in your name or your Father's name?

If the title is in your Father's name, then he owns the car.
