How likely is it?

While I personally would love it, I don't see it happening. My thoughts on this are that the country might be ready for a black or female president, but I don't see both coming into office at the same time. I think it would make it difficult for Dem's to win in certain key southern swing states. As for them not getting along, I don't buy that. Its a primary and they are trying to differentiate themselves. In 04 not many would have thought Kerry would have picked Edwards as they never really got along. Granted it did not work and I think Kerry was pushed into that decision, but in the end Edwards did not make one bit of difference any way.

Seems pretty likely. Edwards is spinning his wheels, and Clinton won't take second to anyone.

I would love to have seen a Clinton/Obama ticket against a Powell/Rice Ticket. With the race and gender cards off the table, maybe we could actually make the decision based on issues.

Trust me, that will never happen.

Hillary Clinton does not like Senator Obama, and Obama does not like Hillary Clinton.

Senator Clinton will not select someone who will out shine her. She will probably pick a dull person such as Senator Dodd.

Sounds a lot like Kerry/Edwards. Can we try for Obama/Clinton instead?

Obama may not do all the things he's talked about, but at least he is willing to go outside of the politics as usual box. Being willing to sit down with leaders of enemy countries without precondition--some people say he would give up a valuable negotiation chip, I'd say get the ball rolling--if you don't like how it goes, leave the meeting and you get the chip back.

I especially liked the idea that he was willing to go after terrorists wherever they are. While Bush and co. wuss out when our opponents are populous, nuclear capable nations with seasoned armies and go as far as to call Obama naive for even considering trying to coerce Pakistan into anything, it really shows that the republicans and the other democrat contenders are only willing to fight terrorism in countries that don't have a real army. Going guns blazing into Pakistan would be stupid, but leaving Pakistan to fight terrorists they may not even hate all by themselves with no interference, oversight, or anything to the US is pretty stupid too. Obama's 'let's sit down with them and see what the deal really is' attitude may be just what our foreign relations need.

Unlikely, either one that gets the nomination will need to balance the ticket geographically. This will mean that the VP will be southern or Western or, maybe even, Southwestern. Look for Richardson, Edwards, Udall (from CO.), Ford from Tennessee (with Hillary), or maybe Nelson from Florida.

Two northern candidates is just bad mojo.

for Obama's sake I would hope he is not the top of the ticket when dealing with Clintons, I fell his health would turn bad quickly and she would be looking for a vice-president. Your health is not safe if you get in the way of a Clinton.

Who knows but it's bad for the country.

Do they both strike you as extremely insincere and like complete corrupt liars.

Republicans are worst but all of the candidates seem completely bought by campaign donators and are ONLY out for the money and power.

Believe me none of the candidates are looking out for anyone's benefits other than themselves.

These candidates are selfish celebrities now and NOT public servants as they should be.

They have too much power.

The political system and top government in this country really needs to be reevaluated and improved.

Campaign contributions and lobbying for industries should be banned and made illegal. It is bribery and it is legal.

This system breeds corruption.

If they win, our only hope will be that Hillary is assassinated and Obama takes over. Hello? Is anybody listening to me?

I think they are both intelligent people, who would do a great job running the country. I just wonder why the "socialist" term keeps getting thrown around. Do we start calling right-wing cons fascists?
