No its not uncommon. Some girls get their period as young as 9 or 10 and others start as late as 13 or 14. So don't worry. Your period is being regulated since you just started getting it.

I don't think it's too young my little sister got her's at 11 i got my at 12 and my best friend got hers at 9 so you are in good shape it's not going to hurt you in the long run....

No, you're not too young. Everyone is different. One of my friends got it when she was 11, I got it just after I turned 13. Another one of my friends didn't get it until she was 16! Count yourself lucky that yours only lasts 3 days :) Mine's a whole week. Ugh.

Your not to young to have your period. I got it when i was tweleve also and i also only had it for 3-5 days. Now i get it regularly once a month every month and i have it for 7 days. Its natural dont worry about it.

From what I have heard the growth hormone they put in animals these days effects teen girls and makes them have a period sooner, so no, you are not too young, I had my period when I was 13, but that was when they did not give chickens and cows growth hormone (so they would produce more or bigger meat products).

There is no such thing as being too young to start getting your peiod. I was about to turn 11 when I got my first period in 5th grade.

no, it is not too young. my niece started at 11, she is now 31. it all depends on how quickly your body develops, due to your hormones changing.
