even though you have never met them or done anithing on his/her behalf?

Could that be the so called "love at first sight"?

I toom my car to the garage early in the morning. I had barely washed my face and brushed my hair. No make up!! The mechanic, whom I have never seen in my life, looked at me as if he was star struck. After my car was ready he went to the front desk as if to glance at me and when I had a question for the front desk help, he motion to go to him so he can help me. I did, so he said let me show you something . . . I worried! Is there something wrong with my car? I asked, he said no, just let me show you something. I poped the hood . . . all he wanted me to see was that the new battery installed in my car had a date so I know when it was installed and when to replace it.
He started asking my name, where do I work, where am I from . . . at that point I got unconfortable and left.

Oh, yeah! He also said "come back soon."
As if going back to a garage is something enjoyable.

No....it's simply a manner of being polite and to get you to go back to him for business.

(Being friendly and trustworthy are two things that will get customers to go back for business. However, he kinda overdid it to the point it freaked out the customer which would be you.)

I am a salesperson, I know their tricks. =)

That's sweet (sort of)
I would be a bit unnerved by him asking personal information though. Especially since you don't know him from Adam. Sounds like you did right by leaving at that point. Hopefully, he'll soon learn to prove that he's trustworthy before interrogating someone like he did you. Maybe he didn't realize he was doing that, but when a guy must know everything about you the minute he sees you, yes perhaps it's love at first sight, but I don't know if I would label it love as much as obsession.

I have to say yes, that has happened many a time.

Unfortunately, a lot of women have looked at me as if she had seen a ghost, too.

The dude was probably on the prowl for some action. Its up to you if you think he's a hunk and want to give it up.

My wife looked at me and acted that way when she first met me 20 years ago.

Never happened to me before.

But usually I give people that I like a pleasent look. I mean, if it makes them feel good, than its good for me too. that's all, nothing more than that.

I'm not the opposite sex of myself, but that sort of thing happens when I look in the mirror.
