i think part of that is true, money can buy you happiness but only for i while, you get tyred of the things you buy that make you happy, i dont think you should keep all that money to yourself if your rich enough to ask this question, give some to charity or to someone who needs it i know that always makes me happy.

Technically, money can't buy happiness, since happiness is not a consumable good. However, money can buy stuff, which seems to make a lot of people happy. If having stuff makes you happy, then I suppose money could help in bringing happiness. On the other hand, if you had all your "stuff" donated to you, then you still wouldn't need money for happiness.

Money gives lots of people peace of mind, whereas they do not have to worry about medical bills, insurance costs, loans, mortgages, etc. To this end, money can also contribute to happiness.

Personally, I find the times I am happiest is when I am spending time with family or friends, which does not cost me money. So, money alone cannot buy me happiness.

I'm afraid, it's going to be hard to prove that one.

You can find some dubious, but rethorically acceptable, answers in philosophy books and in reading communist authors such as Karl Marx, Lenin, Proudhon.

You can be happy without money, but for a short while only.

Most importantly when one doesn't have money:

Don't get ill;
Don't get hungry;
Don't get depressive;
Don't need to go elsewhere;
Don't be too demanding about girls;
and don't need to take some rest, or worse, vacations.

You can't. You just may happen to be a person for whom money can buy happiness...

Money can only give us utility (or satisfaction), but not happiness. Money can only buy material things. Happiness is a state of being and not a commodity. 'nuf said ;-)

I would imagine that you have had money to spend on items that you really didn't need and/or really didn't need to do. Have you found everlasting happiness from these purchases?

What more proof do you need?!?

Go out with your friends, see a movie, hang out, and simply laugh. Hang out together with friends and enjoy inside jokes and real, fun laughter. There's no WAY money can buy that.
